JANESVILLE
O’Riley and Conway’s Irish Pub in downtown Janesville is looking to add a two-story addition that will house brewing and distilling operations, additional seating, and a stage for live music.
Construction of the 4,250 square foot addition would result in the loss of about five off-street parking spots, but that won’t affect city permitting of the project.
Associate Planner Trae Meyer says downtown business districts don’t have parking requirements.
Meyer says because the new addition would have an elevator, customers of Cozy Inn will also benefit as they will have a way to get to the second-story restaurant without trekking up the stairs off West Milwaukee Street.
The Janesville Plan Commission will hold a public hearing for a conditional use permit for the project Monday.
