MILTON
On June 3, Amy and Scott Mallon became the new owners of American Awards & Promotions, at 1250 Arthur Dr. in Milton.
Previously owned by Mark and Lori Warren, the company provides trophies and certificates, team apparel and promotional merchandise to area businesses, schools and organizations.
Amy Mallon had been an employee of American Awards for about two years before she and her husband purchased the business. She said there are no big changes planned, except for a change in hours.
The new hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
American Awards & Promotions has been a staple in Milton for over 40 years and had been owned by the Warren family throughout that time. According to a 2019 article in the Milton Courier, it was established as a part-time business by Jim and Mari Ann Warren in 1981 and was known as The Trophy Shoppe. In 1998, Mark and Lori Warren purchased The Trophy Shoppe from Jim and Mary Ann, Mark’s parents, and renamed it American Awards & Promotions.
Over the years, the business had expanded at its location on College Street and then moved to its current location on Arthur Drive in 2018.
When asked what people can expect from American Awards & Promotions going forward, Amy Mallon said, “the same amazing quality service as they’ve always received.”
